Marianne Bull Cozens Diary, . 1830

Diary, 1-20 December 1830, apparently of Marianne B. Cozens, a Northerner, possibly the second wife of Daniel Cozens, describing a sea journey on the ship from New York to Charleston, S.C., and a few days in Charleston, on her way to North Carolina. Cozens wrote of the terror associated with a storm at sea, of the reactions of her children to the voyage, and of her impressions of Charleston. Othello
